Produced by hit maker Sefi Carmel, this latest addition to the string of Mrs. X’s patented “pop à la carte” hits is ready to take the music world by storm, on Friday, November 11, 2016.

The recordings for this exciting, new single took place in the MOR Music studio and the Soundtracks studio in London, England as well as in the Bond Studio in Cologne, Germany. In addition to the award-winning producer Sefi Carmel, Mrs. X is supported by the skilled background vocals of singer Kirsten Rea and the Jamaican born rapper M. Dwizzy.

Sefi is responsible for that driving, rhythmic bassline that gives this track its power and lifts the energy behind Mrs. X’s vocals to newfound heights. Add to that, those dynamic riffs from London born guitar sensation Jon Hocking and there you have it, “80 Miles Away,” ready for release on Friday, November 11, 2016.
There will be two tracks on the single. “80 Miles Away” the original version, was produced, engineered, designed, mixed and mastered by Sefi Carmel. The alternate version, ”80 Miles Away-Kansas Drive” was recorded in Cologne by the highly regarded audio engineer Radu Marinescu and was self-produced by Mrs. X. The multi-talented Lennon P. Bone provided the sound and beat design, as well as the mixing and mastering of “80 Miles Away-Kansas Drive”.
“80 Miles Away” is a melancholy love story about a woman at a boring party who questions whether the man she came with is Mr. Right and ends up leaving with another man. It’s a tale many of us know all too well, wondering if someone new could lead to new adventures and horizons, questioning whether the person standing by our side is truly Mr. or Ms. Right.
“The lyrics to ‘80 Miles Away’ are honest, personal and sincere. A lot of raw emotions are exposed in this track,” says Mrs. X. The haunting lyrics “I’ll tell him to stay 80 miles away… to stay away from me… oh, how could it be?” will echo through the minds of the listeners.
But, it is the fusion of “pop à la carte” and rap that defines the freshness of this intensely creative song. Even the cover design by Alessandro Bond visualizes the emotional state of the main character by shooting the protagonist, Mrs. X, all alone in a cold, snowy, wintry location.
