Pop singer, composer and song writer Mrs. X is now to release her next single “Submarine Captain” which is layered in a distinct maritime flavor.

Rising pop sensation Mrs. X is back once again and this time with something unique and refreshingly off-beat. The mysterious singer has recently announced to release her next album “Submarine Captain” which is an exclusive mix of pop and exhilarating Shanty choir. The song has used the theme of legendary sea shanty “Drunken Sailor”.

Slated to be officially released on July 17, “Submarine Captain” is now available for streaming and download on all popular online audio channels like- Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, SoundCloud, Google Play etc.

After singles like “Criminals” and “Tango Punta Cana” which are mostly set on urbane tune, Mrs. X has sailed into an unchartered sea this time with “Submarine Captain”. The new single stands apart with its distinct maritime flavor duly accentuated by little details throughout the song. From the title of the track to the beautiful Shanty choir to small relevant nuances throughout the lyrics- everything has summed up to create an unmistakable maritime mood.

“Submarine Captain” is a satirical pop song which tells the story of a young woman who is head over heels in love with her man. Unfortunately, her man shows no interest in her but she is waiting for him with all her love and passion. She is not ready to hear anything against him and when asked about his absence, she always tries to justify her stand with several reasons. She prefers to believe that possibly the man is the captain of a submarine and thus has to be away for a long time. The track is inspired by the book “He’s Just Not That Into You” by Greg Behrendt & Liz Tuccillo.

As with all her songs, Mrs. X has written, sung and composed her new single. It’s part of her album Pop á la carte which is being produced by award-winning sound maverick Sefi Carmel. The Shanty choir used in the song was performed by Italian singers Ranieri Di Biagio and Emanuela Gramaglia.

Speaking of her next single, Mrs.X stressed on her special corner for shanty music that makes her feel free and liberated as one feels before the vast open sea.
“Shanty music was always something special for me. The sea, and freedom, these are the feelings I always loved to feel.”

“Submarine Captain” comprises of 2 tracks – the main version is a pop song which is mostly suitable for airplay and the other one is an electrifying remix for dance music & club lovers.
